Children aren't the only ones full of questions.

Q: What kind of preschool is ORPP? A: ORPP is a church affiliated half day preschool offering classes for ages 18 months through 5.

Q: What are your hours and location? A: All classes are from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Day availability depends on age. The office is open from 8:30am - 1:30pm, M-F. Our address is 2614 Oak Ridge Road, near the intersection of Bunch Rd. and Oak Ridge Rd (Hwy 150W) in Oak Ridge.

Q: What geographic location do you serve? A: Our families live throughout Northern Guilford county, Eastern Forsyth county and Southern Rockingham County, including Oak Ridge, Summerfield, Stokesdale, Kernersville and Madison.

Q: ​Which elementary schools do your students attend? A: Our students attend most area public schools, such as Oak Ridge, Summerfield, Stokesdale and Northern Elementary schools as well as Greensboro Academy, Summerfield Charter and Revolution Academy.

Q: ​What are your maximum teacher/student ratios? A: Young Twos - 2 teachers/8 students, Twos - 2 Teachers/10 students, Threes - 2 teachers/10 students, PreK - 2 teachers/12 students.

Q: What is your drop off/pick up procedure? A: A preschool employee will greet families from 9:00 - 9:10am each morning at the entrance. Parents escort children to classrooms or other teacher designated area. At pick up, parents may enter the building and meet their child at their classroom. At all other times doors will remain locked during preschool hours for safety.

Q: What activities do you offer? A: In addition to normal classroom activities, we provide music class weekly, story-time and chapel bi-weekly. Creative Movement class will be provided monthly. Playground time offers active daily play. The sanctuary/multi-purpose room is available during inclement weather, with riding toys, balls and games.

Q: Do parents provide snack/lunch? A: Parents provide a morning snack, lunch and water bottle for their child daily.

Q: How do you accommodate food allergies? A: Oak Ridge Presbyterian Preschool is a peanut and tree nut free school. Foods with peanuts/ tree nuts will not be served to children. School administration and classroom teachers should be notified of all other food allergies/sensitivities and they will be handled on a case by case basis. It is our primary goal that all the children in our care stay safe and healthy.

Q: When do you start and finish the year? A: We start classes at the beginning of September (date will vary depending on GCS calendar) and continue into late May. We try to coordinate our calendar with Guilford County Schools and take many of the same breaks and workdays.

Q: When may I visit and/or register? A: We love for prospective families to visit anytime throughout the year. An appointment can be made for anytime betweeen 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Registration for the current year is on-going as long as there are openings. For families interested in enrolling for Fall of 2024, registration will begin January 17, 2024 for currently enrolled families and January 18, 2024 for the public.  Feel free to call 336-609-7074 or email us at orpcschool@gmail.com.
